Call for proposals
We are interested in themed sessions that explore writing as a tool for resilience, justice, and forging connections in our era of cultural and personal polarization, fear, and repression. We seek a wide range of presenters and participants who are diverse in culture, race, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and dis/ability. We welcome all writers at all levels of experience.
The four content pathways:
- craft
- business & mechanics of writing
- teaching writing
- literary activism & resistance
We seek presenters who are knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging teachers who can offer:
- participatory workshops that include time to practice craft
- sessions with innovative approaches to the subject matter
- instruction on tools and services helpful to writers
We plan to have mostly small sessions with advance registration, but will also have a few panels. If you propose a panel, please include suggestions for other panelists.
- sessions are 75 minutes and include a 15-minute Q&A
- presenters receive a $150.00 honorarium &
- complimentary registration and lunch
