WriteAngles Journal Guidelines & Submissions

The Journal is open to writers and presenters affiliated with the WriteAngles Conference and its theme “In the Thicket of Thorns Stories Grow.”
We publish flash fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, which can take the form of either prose or verse. Please keep all submissions under 500 words of prose or fewer than 20 lines of verse.
Here are a few things we look for in a piece:
- A carefully polished and proofread work
- A beginning that hooks the reader
- Strong verbs and vivid concrete details
- An ending that leaves the reader with a gift (ie, a “flash: of insight)
Eligibility: You must register for the conference. One submission per person. No submissions written by AI, please!
